Australian Photography Awards

Had an amazing time at the recent Australian Institute of Professional Photography Awards last weekend.

I managed to pick up 3 silver awards and one silver with distinction for my wedding photography entries. I am SOOO stoked!

Saw some absolutely amazing images over the weekend, had a great time with my lovely photographer friends from all overe the country and met some new wonderful photographers, too.

Congratulations to locals, Leonie Keogh from Snowgum who got 2 gold images!!, Dan O'Day who got one gold and Geoff Comfort who also got a gold...What a talented bunch we are!!

Having a couple of days off now...back in the office in a day or two!

Winter cold (s)

What a week, the weather has been really cold and my joints are aching!! Eeek I must be getting old! My son, Henry, burst an eardrum last week and we both have been sick since last Wednesday. He's better now but I am a little behind with work.

The Australian Institute of professional Photography Annual Awards judging are on next weekend in Sydney and I have finally got my images ready for entry. I have also been asked to judge again this year which I absolutely love as you get to see some AMAZING images up close and personal- don't get to judge my own tho!!! :)

Must go to bed as I have a couple of littlies to photograph first thing! yipee!

finally a post after two weeks!!

It was a crisp cold day, but sunny eventually today, so great to get some fresh air with these gorgeous energetic girls and their mum and dad, we had a great time and I have loads of lovely images of them, here's just a few...see you soon guys!

Even though Henry my son and I have been crook with terrible colds for the last few days we managed to have some birthday cake last night, which was beautifully made by my lovely friend Jennifer and some yummy take away thai food with my other lovely friends Lindi and Leonie. ...and yes even though we are all photographers it wasn't all shop talk! Thanks girls for a very lovely girls night in!

Yee haa! I have just been notified that as part of the recent ACT AIPP awards I have taken out the Open Award for 2009, too. I am pretty happy with myself!

and do you know what? I love taking photographs!!

I get SOOOOOO clucky with little babies, especially when they remind me of what my son Henry was like at the same age...Big gorgeous rolly polly!

...and I loved that lovely border collie Robbie, she loved to get in on the action!!
